Box 1: Correspondence, original letters and transcripts, of Walter and Alexander Murray with family in England, including accounts of Walter's journey to America from England in 1843 and his work as printer in Boston, life in San Luis Obispo, crimes of Pío Linares leading to the formation of a Vigilance Committee there; legal and business careers of both brothers, political activity, etc. Other topics discussed include reflections on the Civil War and comments on Romulado Pacheco. Included are biographical sketches of the two brothers. Box 2: Set of transcripts of the letters by Dorothy Unangst Bilodeau, and bigraphical sketches of the two brothers.
